The spotlight’s on YOU!
So maybe you don’t aspire to be a big movie star. No matter. Theatre is a great way to conquer fear, gain confidence, and learn to feel comfortable both in large groups and performing on stage.
In class you’ll learn movement, trust and improvisation exercises, acting theory and theatre design. You’ll interpret scripts and learn theatre history. You’ll also do workshops with theatre professionals to develop skills such as choreography and stage combat.
You’ll also be impressed by our two professional-calibre theatre venues where, each year, you’ll put on major productions including a musical. This year it’s Grease. (UCC partners with nearby girls’ school, The Bishop Strachan School.) Recent productions have included Greek tragedies, Shakespeare (including lessons from a stage-fight master!) and contemporary masterworks.
